The Executive Master in Disaster Risk and Crisis Management Team welcomes Prof. Eula Bianca Villar, Ph.D. as full-time Faculty of AIM. Eula will handle the courses in the EMDRCM program namely: Strategies for Organizational Resilience, Business Continuity & Operations Management for DRC Managers, and others. In addition, she will also handle courses under the Organizational Resilience concentration of the same program.
Eula was recently an Industry and Market Research Consultant for BlueCap Hydro B.V., a technology start-up in the renewable energy sector, where she provided evidence-based advisory input thematically centered on understanding the irrigation, agriculture, and water management ecosystem, including behaviors, attitudes, and organizing process of identified stakeholders. She also contributed to Orange ASEAN Factory that was jointly organized by the Dutch Embassy in the Philippines and The Rock group in the Netherlands in facilitating the data collection and analysis of the agricultural value chain that led to the recommendation of targeting end-users of hydroelectricity while adding optimum value to Filipino farmers.
Eula led projects related to the social innovation ecosystem and disaster risk reduction-related innovation in the country as a Research Consultant for TUKLAS Innovation Labs, which was co-implemented by Plan International, Action Against Hunger, CARE International, and Citizen’s Disaster Response Center. She was formerly connected with Baker & McKenzie Global Services as a Senior Research Analyst and served as Trade and Industry Development Specialist at the Philippines ’ Department of Trade and Industry.
Eula obtained her Doctor of Philosophy in Management (Cum Laude) from La Salle-Universitat Ramon Llull in Barcelona, Spain where she also held a post as Researcher/EU Marie Curie Fellow for several years. She holds a Master of Advanced Professional Studies (MAIS) that was jointly awarded by the Vienna School of International Studies, also known as the Diplomatic Academy of Vienna/Diplomatische Akademie Wien, and the University of Vienna in Austria. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in International Studies major in European Studies from De La Salle University in the Philippines.
