She secured second place in the Education category of the prestigious Women in Ag Award 2024 in the “Education” category, presented by German Agriculture Society Deutsche Landwirtschafts-Gesellschaft (DLG) and Women in Ag Magazine. Christine’s commitment to agriculture runs deep, rooted in her family’s farming heritage in the Philippines. With over a decade of experience in agricultural development, she has empowered more than 40,000 farmers across the country and the wider ASEAN region. Her work focuses on promoting sustainable agricultural practices, improving local farming resilience, and expanding educational access for farmers.
Christine’s influence extends beyond the region. She is a member of UN Women Asia and the Pacific’s “30 for 2030″ youth leadership network, where she champions gender equality, sparks dialogue, and drives positive action. She also serves as an active ambassador for the NextGen Ag Impact Network (NGIN), a worldwide network that empowers young agricultural leaders to help achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
