Asian Institute of Management Alumna Bags Global Award for Advancing Farmer Education

by Carmelle Lucina C. Domingo

Makati, Philippines – Christine Jodloman, a proud alumna of the Executive Master in Disaster Risk and Crisis Management program at the Asian Institute of Management (AIM), has been globally recognized for her extraordinary contributions to agricultural development. She secured second place in the Education category of the prestigious Women in Ag Award 2024 in the “Education” category, presented by German Agriculture Society Deutsche Landwirtschafts-Gesellschaft (DLG) and Women in Ag Magazine. The award honors women making impactful contributions to agriculture worldwide.

Christine’s commitment to agriculture runs deep, rooted in her family’s farming heritage in the Philippines. With over a decade of experience in agricultural development, she has empowered more than 40,000 farmers across the country and the wider ASEAN region. Her work focuses on promoting sustainable agricultural practices, improving local farming resilience, and expanding educational access for farmers.

Christine’s influence extends beyond the region. She is a member of UN Women Asia and the Pacific’s “30 for 2030″ youth leadership network, where she champions gender equality, sparks dialogue, and drives positive action. She also serves as an active ambassador for the NextGen Ag Impact Network (NGIN), a worldwide network that empowers young agricultural leaders to help achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Through these roles, Christine firmly establishes herself as a true advocate for international agricultural development.

Her recent achievement highlights not only her personal dedication but also the invaluable role that women play in shaping the future of agriculture. The award will be formally presented on 13 November 2024, at the EuroTier expo in Hanover, Germany, where Christine will be honored alongside other pioneering women in the field.

As an AIM alumna, Christine embodies the spirit of leadership, innovation, and social impact.  Her achievements inspire future generations to #leadinspiretransform agricultural practices worldwide.
